Story
Returning to the battlefield, now a memorial, the colours were the only thing she could remember of them. Though, what stood before her were fields of grey, littered with swords, flowers, and the cold winds of a dead world. ---------------------------- She blamed herself for those lost; how could she not? She was their leader, the strongest, the one who was supposed to protect. Out of all her equals, she was the best, so why did she fail so badly? The war was won, but at what cost? ---------------------------- Those who made it out were never really the same. Any one of the pilots who were there would tell it how it was; it was what they had to do for their king. It was the naivety of the newer generation that really got under her skin. Those "statistics" were people she knew, people she loved, people that were changed for the worst, and those who are dealing with the consequences. ---------------------------- But she is still loved, despite it not feeling like it, and even knowing that she may have not savd everyone then, she still continues to try and save everyone now so that she may see colour in the world again.
